Fishing in the day time is almost intolerable now because of the HEAT. Most everybody is concentrating their efforts on "early morning" and "late afternoon" fishing. Some hearty souls are fishing at night and doing pretty good. Largemouth and spots are hitting best on super spook jrs. in white or bone fished over humps and down points early and late. Also doing well with shallow running crank baits fished along the Rif-Raf. If Night fishing is your thing, try fishing a dark colored (black,,junebug, blackberry) mag worms. Catfish are hitting excellent right now on cut herring, chicken livers or dough bait such as Sonnys Super Sticky Catfish Bait. As with the bass, fish early, late or at night. Crappie fishing is fair. Fish at night around bridges or brush piles in 15 to 20 feet of water with small or medium monnows. If action slows drop minnow to bottom and you will probably catch a white or yellow perch. Stop by and check our tackle selection, WE got New Items coming in daily !! |
